What is Trainrail?
Trainrail is an iPhone app that follows your trains. It tells you about delays, platform changes, cancellations and connections at risk, and shows your train live on the Lock Screen. It’s made by Moqa Studio, a French company independent of SNCF.
What does Trainrail do for your trains?
- Alerts the moment a delay, platform change, cancellation or skipped stop comes through.
- Strike the next day: the verdict the evening before, whether your train runs, moves or is cancelled.
- Your train live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, plus a widget with the countdown.
- Two trains with a change are treated as one journey, so you know if the connection is comfortable, tight or at risk.
- When a delay earns compensation, Trainrail prepares the details to copy and takes you to the operator’s form.
- Share your train with a link, and the people meeting you watch it arrive.
- Every trip joins your travel log: kilometres, stations, CO₂ saved.
Is Trainrail free?
Yes, for your first 3 journeys, with live tracking, alerts and the Live Activity. Trainrail Pro is €2.99 a month or €19.99 a year in France. It unlocks unlimited trains, the full travel log and stats, all your friends’ trains and refund claim tracking.

Which trains does it follow?

Can you buy tickets in it?
